Under the MedProgramme, the SCCF contributed to the Coast Day in 2022 that was celebrated in Morocco on the topic of coastal resilience.

Activities and outcomes of the SCCF were presented at various events, such as at the COP27 in Egypt (“From science to action” side event at the Mediterranean Pavilion) in November 2022, MedProgramme’s Annual Stocktaking Meeting in Athens in November 2022 and Podgorica in April 2024, Mediterranean Green Week, organised by the Union for the Mediterranean and its partners in Istanbul, from 14 to 16 May 2024.

During December 2024, a special awareness-raising campaign was organized in Boka Kotorska Bay, Montenegro, in form of school competition for the best artwork among elementary school pupils from 1st to 4th grade (6 to 11 years old) with the task of creating the art work with the topic of «Boka kakvu želim u budućnosti » (How I want Boka to be in the future ?). In December 2024, an NGO was contracted in Tanger. Morocco, in order to produce a board game related to sustainable development and gender equality based on the studies elaborated in the framework of the Tanger Tetaouan Al Hoceima coastal plan. The board game was tested and will be played in secondary schools in 2025 in the region of Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima.

On December 10, 2024, in Donji Stoliv, Montenegro, a significant event to tackle the challenges of climate change and drive sustainable development in the Boka Kotorska region, took place. The final Plan presentation, titled “Collaborating for a Sustainable Future: Adapting to Climate Change in Boka Kotorska While Enabling Socio-Economic Growth,” brought together key experts and stakeholders from government, academia, NGOs, and the private sector to chart a path forward for one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic coastal areas.
